Hi, I am Tay Zi Li and I have just completed my 1st year of the LLB degree at Taylor’s University College. I used to like history when I was young and my teachers encouraged me to take law, saying that a good memory certainly helps in law programme. Well, until I studied law this year, only I realized that it actually requires understanding of the subject rather than pure memory.
For me being a law student, reading and researching are inevitable. The amount of time needed for studying law is obviously longer than other course. However, it was not as boring as I thought! Throughout this year, we managed to have mooting and debate competition, visits to parliament and the AG chambers in Putrajaya, which I really found them exciting. I am really looking forward to complete my degree and be not just a law student, but a lawyer!
